COMPANY INFORMATION
Dance Company is an invitation only class that competes in two local competitions each spring. We have several companies broken up by age/grade. Dancers must be at OTM for at least one dance-year and be referred by their teacher to be eligible for company (exceptions are made for studio transfers). If interested, please talk directly to your teacher at the beginning of the dance year so the dancer can be watched throughout the year for the following year. Companies are put together over the summer before the dance-year begins.

The first competition will be the weekend of TBA. More details will be sent home with each company as we get them. Companies will be notified as fees closer to competition date.

Fees for Solos and Duets/Trios
Solo- $400.00
Duet-$500.00
Trio- $700.00
Only girls that have been in dance company for at least one year are eligible to compete with a solo or duet. Payment is due IN FULL at the first lesson and does not include the cost of competition fees or costume. Price includes choreography, edited music, and 4 one hour lessons. Any extra lessons that are needed in addition to the 4 will be at regular private lesson rate. ($60.00 for 1 hour and $50.00 for 45 min and $45.00 ½ hour).
Some of the teachers have limited time for practices, so keep that in mind when choosing a teacher for your solo. Also, it’s a good idea to pick a teacher that works with you each week, or has worked with you in the past, since they already know you and your strengths/weaknesses.
Just like our regular classes, no parents will be allowed in the room while the teacher is teaching the private lesson. However, you are welcome to watch through the viewing window in the lobby if your dancer's lesson is in the small room.
Checks should be made out to the teacher, not the studio. If you want to order a costume through the studio, it must be picked out before Christmas Break and the cost is $75. You can look at costumes online. Ms. Kari will give you the names of the companies we order from. You are also welcome to come up with your own costume. All music choices must be cleared by your solo teacher and Ms. Kari. Routines MUST be completed by March 1st.
